That's right, if you ever have the chance to get your lips on some pink-eye, purple hull peas you will know exactly what we mean by purplicious!! These are our favorite so far from this year's garden. Served with cornbread, you can't go wrong!
When the peas are ripe for picking, the hull turns very dark purple. The pea is a beautiful light green with a pink-eye in the center. Yum!
