Here's a look at our pasture rotation plan for the front pasture (click image to enlarge). Now that we "know" the pigs and their true grazing ability, etc. we have decided to go to a rotational grazing plan to ensure the pigs are kept on clean pasture and are consuming the most that we can offer them. In the fall they will also graze the woods to glean the fallen acorns. We worked most of our weekend transforming the front pasture, moving pigs and planting our fruit trees. Hopefully after a few litters of pigs we can move on to the back pasture and fence it as well. But for now, the front is working well for them.
