On Friday, John cut down some cane (or Bamboo if you wish) for our bean poles. The easy part was cutting it down. The hard part was getting it to the garden. The longest piece was about 40 feet. The boys enjoyed helping dad. Blake kept asking where the Panda bears were and if the Panda bears were going to eat it. I will post bean pole construction pics soon... as soon as it is finished that is.
I've never seen such big cain! They should make great bean poles. I always liked pole beans better than bush. Much easier to pick. Anything I could get to run on a pole, I tried it; even cucumbers. I hope to have a garden again, soon; maybe next year.
